Farm Neck Golf Club  | Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Golf Course Superintendent

About the Club

Farm Neck Golf Club is a semi-private club with 425 members located in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. The golf course, noted for the beauty of its topography, was designed in 1979 by Geoffrey Cornish, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Mulligan. It has been one of the top-ranked courses in the northeast United States and has been consistently ranked 4.5 out of 5 stars in Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play.” The layout features striking variations of topography and vegetation that includes everything from woodlands, to open meadows, to salt marshes, to stunning overlooks, and intimate brushes with the water’s edge. Along with its intrinsic beauty, Farm Neck enjoys a widespread reputation for championship caliber golf.

Originally starting out as only 9 holes, the course eventually expanded into the par 72, 18-hole course that it is today. It measures 6815 yards on 155 acres and averages 30,000 rounds annually of which approximately 14,000 rounds are public. The fairways are Bent/Poa Grass and the tees are Bent Grass. The Club is currently renovating the cart paths and replacing and modernizing both the storage barn and wash down area.

Golf amenities include a driving range, short game practice facilities and a club-owned pro shop. Tee times are nine-minute intervals beginning at 6:00am until dusk. There is no caddie program, but walking is permitted. Additional amenities include six Har-Tru tennis courts and the Farm Neck Café. The Café is a full-service restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining options that overlook the golf course. It is open to members and the public for a la carte dining and private events.

Farm Neck Golf Club is a seasonal club that is open seven days a week in early April and closes the first week in December. Club hours vary throughout the season.
