About the Club
Established in Hoover, AL just outside Birmingham in 1990, Greystone Golf and Country Club is widely recognized to be one of the finest Communities and Private Country Clubs in the Southeast.  Greystone Golf and Country Club encompasses two Clubhouses and two 18-hole golf courses. The Founders Clubhouse, which hosts the Regions Tradition on the PGA Tour Champions, and the Legacy Clubhouse which its namesake golf course is considered one of the best tests of golf in the area. Greystone Golf and Country Club is a beacon of Southern hospitality in a vibrant community.

The natural surroundings are the awe-inspiring backdrop for 1,400 beautiful homes. The Founders neighborhood is made up of over 850 homes. Legacy was developed in 1999 and is now home to over 550 families. Other facilities include the Outdoor Racquets sports facility with pro shop (10 clay tennis courts, two hard courts men’s and ladies’ changing rooms), Fitness center featuring two group exercise rooms and two massage treatment rooms, golf practice ranges and the Golf Performance Center at Legacy. The Swimming Complex includes a competition pool, adult pool, family pool with 25-meter race lanes for the Gator Swim Team, and children’s pool.

Greystone Golf and Country Club dining is open seven days per week year-round.

About the Position
The Director of Food & Beverage will be responsible for all Greystone Golf Club food and beverage programming and operations including ala carte dining, the wine club, catering and special events, casual, quick serve dining in the sports facilities and in home catering within the Greystone community. The Director of Food & Beverage Operations will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will collaborate with the Executive Chef in the planning and execution of daily dining and special event preparation and setup.

The Food & Beverage Director will plan his/her work schedule to be conspicuous and readily accessible to members and their guests and will “meet and greet” club members, providing a warm and hospitable reception. He/she must ensure a great first impression for all members and their guests by thoughtful management of the details in the presentation of the club environs throughout their visit and provide a safe and welcoming environment for employees, members and their guests.

About the Ideal Candidate
The next Director of Food & Beverage Operations at Greystone Golf and Country Club will have a minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible club or full-service hotel or resort management positions leading up to a Food and Beverage Director position at an organization of similar culture. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a professional career “track record” of achievement and employment stability as well as excellent people skills especially in dealing with members, guests, staff, and the community. He/she must have proven leadership qualities with demonstrated ability to direct, train and coordinate staff, and manage all facets of an internationally regarded private club. This candidate will be joining a dynamic organization and is expected to contribute to the team in a meaningful way from the onset.  The chosen candidate will be a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or equivalent. Candidates with professional certifications (CCM, CCE) or who are progressing towards them are preferred for this role.
