Woodland Golf Club – Auburndale, Massachusetts
General Manager

About the Club
Woodland Golf Club was founded in 1896 by a group of men determined to promote the interests of the game of golf. By 1900, a nine-hole golf course measuring 2619 yards was complete. In 1907, the course was expanded to 18 holes. Francis Ouimet, United States Open Champion who is frequently referred to as the “father of amateur golf,” was one of the early members.

In 1920, Donald Ross was hired to redesign the existing layout and another great redesign was done by Geoffrey Cornish in the 1960’s.  In recent years, the Club has had major renovations of the clubhouse and golf course as they continue to honor and build on the 125-year history. As a modern, member-owned private club with a diverse membership including local and seasonal residents, the Club offers their 500 active members a long tradition of competitive, high quality, respectful golf,  tennis, swimming, and many varied family and social activities.

The clubhouse is closed for the month of January. Dining hours are limited in February and March. The Club is closed on Mondays or the day following Monday holidays. Gross revenue is $10 million with Food & Beverage accounting for $6 million. There are 208 staff members at the height of season.
