The Huntington Country Club | Huntington, New York

About the Club
Established in 1910, the Huntington Country Club is a community-driven private golf & country club located on the North Shore of Long Island. Since its inception, Huntington Country Club has remained true to its founding mission: “To promote golf, tennis and other games; to provide sociability and amusement for its members, and to facilitate its members in the pursuit of health and pleasure.” That mission is as true today as it was then. It is still a place that is an essential part of the fabric of the community; a place for families to enjoy sports and recreation and to meet friends new and old; a place to shed the day-to-day cares of the world and enjoy the gracious companionship of fellow members. In 2010, the club celebrated its centennial year and prides itself on entering a new century of gracious service and enjoyment for its members and their guests.

The Huntington Country Club’s crown jewel is an 18-hole Devereux Emmet-designed golf course, located on a 144-acre parcel of land on the Huntington-Cold Spring Harbor border. Today, the challenging 18-hole links course features four sets of member tees and is exceptionally well-maintained and sought-after. Practice areas include a multi-level golf range, short-game practice area, and putting green as well as a new “Golf House” practice facility, equipped with state-of-the-art video instruction and club fitting, allowing members to hit balls in all four seasons. In addition to golf, the campus features four har-tru tennis courts, five platform tennis courts, a racquets chalet built in 2018, and an ice rink that is subleased to another club, The Winter Club.

The Club’s beautifully renovated 28,000 square foot clubhouse features three distinct dining rooms, an outdoor patio, and two bars as well as a men’s bar & grill, men’s and women’s locker room facilities, a golf pro shop, golf bag storage, and a full kitchen. The Club boasts an extensive calendar of golf, tennis, pickle ball, and paddle ball tournaments, clinics, and special events, and is open year-round. Women’s and juniors’ programs across all sports are vibrant and well-subscribed.

The Club is open year-round. The Club has engaged a master planning design firm to propose ideas to enhance the facilities and operations including renovations to the golf course and Clubhouse. Gross revenue is $7.3 million with Food & Beverage accounting for $2 million. There are 84 staff members at the height of season and a total of 430 memberships today.
