North Shore Country Club | Mequon, Wisconsin
General Manager

About the Club

North Shore Country Club was founded on March 1, 1920 as the Michiwaukee Golf Club with a golf course and clubhouse on Fairy Chasm Road in Bayside. In 1935, the name was changed to North Shore Country Club. Unable to expand at the Bayside site, the Club entered an agreement to exchange its current golf course for 215 acres in Mequon in 1964. The land, a former dairy farm, has lent itself to the golf course and was renovated by architect Ron Forse. It has hosted events such as the Greater Milwaukee Open and continues a fine reputation as one of the best golf experiences in the area.

North Shore CC is a private, member-owned country club just minutes from Lake Michigan and downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Club is situated in a highly competitive market with several notable country clubs just minutes away. Surrounded by a number of exclusive communities, the Club is known for its casual and family friendly atmosphere and programming. Its unpretentious style belies a well-run operation whose membership is a genuinely friendly community. The team in place is a strong nucleus by which the Club is recognized as one of the finest Clubs in this part of the Midwest.

The 27 holes of golf hosts approximately 24,000 rounds annually on its three nines which feature challenging green complexes and ample water features. The Blue, Red and White nines are played in 18 hole combinations to yardages between 6,900 and 7,100.  Golf amenities include: a practice facility with driving range, short game facility, and a member-owned pro shop. The Club opened an indoor golf simulator last year for winter play and recreation as well as practice and club fitting.

A new 2nd floor patio is just opened outside the bar and dining areas overlooking the beautiful golf course views. The recently renovated restaurant and banquet spaces are attractive featuring garden and golf views for up to 250 members and guests. The project was funded through member contributions exhibiting the spirit of North Shore CC. Food and beverage service is upscale yet casual and competes with the best restaurants in the city. Additional Club programming and amenities include: five har-tru tennis courts (convertible to pickleball) and one clay court; a resort style pool complex located in one aquatics area including; a competition pool and diving well, two water slides and junior splash area a professional-owned tennis shop; adult clinics and private lessons in golf and tennis; and multiple dining outlets.  Junior programs include golf, swimming, and tennis.
