About the Club

The Round Hill Club is a premier, old-line, distinctly private club established in 1924 that has earned the distinction of being a Platinum Club of America.  The Club is located in the prestigious community of Greenwich, Connecticut where the population is approximately 62,000 and home to many hedge fund, fortune 100 and financial service companies.  Members of this exceptional family club are all residents of this affluent community and reflect clearly the top in the world’s business and social communities.

The Club features a Walter Travis design 18-hole par 71 golf course with practice facilities. Other amenities include eight outdoor Har-Tru tennis courts and pro shop, two indoor tennis courts, single and doubles squash facilities, a 2,500 square foot fitness center, men’s and women’s locker rooms, swimming pool with boys’ and girls’ locker rooms and snack bar. During the winter, the Club hosts an active paddle tennis program with four courts and a shooting range for skeet, trap and other shooting sports. Youth activities are offered in golf, tennis, squash and swimming and lessons and clinics are available for adults in all sporting activities.  Fitness classes, personal training and massage therapy are also available to members.  The Club has approximately 600 member families.

The quintessential New England stone clubhouse features dining options that include the recently renovated and popular Travis Room, a contemporary and sophisticated dining area with adjacent bar, and the Elm Room, a more traditional dining venue. The Club is open year round with a three week closure in the winter. The Club is looking forward to a significant pool and snack bar building renovation project in 2019.

About the Position

The Clubhouse Manager reports to the Assistant General Manager and is directly responsible for all front-of-the-house aspects of the Club’s a la carte dining program, including overseeing food and beverage service throughout the Club facility and acting as the Club’s wine and beverage manager. The Clubhouse Manager also oversees the pool, snack bar, locker rooms and shooting sports departments and will be responsible for administering the internship program for food and beverage. This position will also assist the Assistant General Manager with the planning and execution of private parties and club-sponsored events. He/she will also interact frequently with the membership by being present on the floor to ensure an excellent member and guest experience.

Compensation:  The Club will offer a competitive compensation plan, along with standard benefits. There is an apartment option available on property.

About the Ideal Candidate

Successful candidates will have strong F&B experience with particular expertise in beverage and wine to oversee the beverage program along with training staff, coordinating wine events and assisting members with selections. A passion for high touch service and strong leadership skills to coalesce the front-of-the house team is essential as is a sharp eye for detail in service and overall presentation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, outgoing, genuine and personable and will look forward to being in front of the membership on a regular basis. Visibility and presence, along with the genuine enjoyment of building relationships within the membership and staff are key attributes for the next Clubhouse Manager. Career oriented candidates who aspire to grow and move up within the club industry are encouraged to apply.  Experience in a similar culture and scale club is highly desired and/or luxury hotel environments.
