The Snowed Inn is an upscale family-run Inn located just minutes away from the ski lifts. Situated right off the access road on a tranquil street, it offers convenient access to all the restaurants and the market within walking distance. The Inn changed ownership in February 2020 and has undergone a complete renovation. It boasts a total of 18 guest rooms, including 2 spacious suites.
The property also features 2 apartments—one upstairs, where the owners reside, and another on the lower level designed for the Night Manager. In terms of guest satisfaction, The Snowed Inn consistently receives high ratings on various platforms, including Booking.com (9.3/10), Expedia (36 out of 38 perfect 10 ratings for 2023), Trip Advisor (5/5), and Google (4.7/5). It holds the distinction of being the top-reviewed property in all of Killington.
The Inn provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by a range of complimentary amenities. Guests can enjoy a hot breakfast personally prepared and served by the owners. There’s also the option for private outdoor hot tub sessions complete with plush robes and slippers.
For those seeking dining options, The Snowed Inn offers a Wine and Craft Beer Bar, serving hot, fresh pizzas and more. Guests can enjoy their meals at the Log Cabin-style bar or by the fireside. The Inn features suites with fully equipped kitchens, private jacuzzi tubs, and cozy fireplaces. Other room options include king-sized beds with fireplaces and/or jacuzzis, as well as a variety of well-appointed standard rooms.

About the Position
The Night Manager at the Snowed Inn plays a pivotal role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests during the evening hours. This position is responsible for managing late check-ins, attending to after-hours guest needs, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. In addition, the Night Manager assists with various tasks, including bar service, breakfast preparation, and snow removal when necessary.
This position is a part-time position that includes housing. The hours are from 8pm – 11pm, 6 nights a week and breakfast service 2x a week.
The position is designed to allow the night manager to carry an additional position during the day. Past night managers have worked at the Killington Resort (Powdr company) located 1.2 miles up the access road. The Killington shuttle runs back and forth on the access road.
One bedroom apartment on-site including utilities, heat/hot water, wifi, laundry, garbage and parking, a Merchant pass that offers a discounted ski pass, 30% off Group Lessons, 15% of food at base lodge and food courts, 15% off Killington Sports Shop, Free Gondola Rides, 25% off Bike Lift and Trail tickets. We are located off the access road and walking distance to restaurants, shops, the market and bars. There is a shuttle bus that runs back and forth on the accessway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Late Check-Ins: Check-in guests between 8pm and 11pm, ensuring a seamless arrival experience. For late arrivals after 11pm, facilitate the self-check-in process.
- Guest Relations: Provide a visible and approachable presence at the Inn, engaging with guests and addressing their needs promptly and courteously.
- Enforce Quiet Hours: Remind guests of our quiet hours policy (after 11pm) and address any disturbances as needed. Maintain a record of any policy violations.
- Bar Service: Serve drinks and food at the bar to guests during evening hours, ensuring an enjoyable and safe experience.
- Kitchen Preparation: Set up the kitchen the night before to prepare for early morning breakfast service.
- Breakfast Service: Be available for breakfast service two mornings a week, assisting with guest needs during this time.
- Snow Removal: Assist with snow removal in the evening and early mornings before guests depart or when required to ensure safe access to the Inn.
- Operating System: Develop a working knowledge of the Resnexus operating system; training is available if needed.
- Member & Guest Concerns: Handle guest concerns and troubleshoot issues appropriately and promptly, keeping the Owners informed of both problems and resolutions.
Candidate Specifications:
- Experience: Minimum of three years in the hospitality industry.
- Vermont Alcohol Certification: Completion of a 2-hour online course to obtain Vermont Alcohol Certification.
Additional Information: The Snowed Inn fosters a friendly and collaborative work environment with a small staff that includes 2.5 housekeepers, 1 baker/receptionist, 1 Night Manager, and the owners, Ken & Carolyn.
