South Fork Country Club | Amagansett, New York
Controller

About the Club
Founded in 1921, South Fork Country Club is a private member-owned club nestled in the oceanside village of Amagansett. Originally a nine-hole course, renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse expanded the course to eighteen holes complimenting the farmland terrain of the area. In 2008, the original clubhouse was razed and replaced with a more modern building. This charming clubhouse was further remodeled in 2019 updating the dining room, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms, parking lot and front entrance. A new short game practice facility, also designed and constructed by Gil Hanse, was added and included the addition of bunkers, a grass hitting area, mat hitting area and large target green. There is a Club-owned Golf Pro Shop on property and junior golf programming opportunities are available for children ages five through fifteen. Members enjoy informal dining in the main dining room and outdoor deck area seasonally.

South Fork Country Club is located on the South Shore of Long Island in the Town of East Hampton, an affluent area that has become a fashionable resort location in recent years. While the popularity and exclusivity of the Hamptons continues to grow, the diverse, generational, golf-loving membership of South Fork Country Club enjoys a camaraderie across the board from the working professional, to the retired and families alike.

The clubhouse is operational April through November with breakfast, lunch and dinner service varying throughout the season. There is no dining service available on Wednesdays. The golf course is officially open from mid-April through November 30th with peak play occurring mid-May through mid-September. There are 409 memberships and gross revenues are $6.3 million. In the height of season there are 57 employees.
