Ardsley Country Club | Ardsley-on-Hudson, New York
Head Golf Professional

About the Club
Founded in 1895, Ardsley Country Club is one of the oldest and most distinguished private country clubs in the country. Majestic views of the Hudson River and the Palisades cliffs in New Jersey complement the charm and intimacy of the surroundings. The Club is situated just 20 miles north of New York City and attracts members from throughout Westchester and Fairfield counties, as well as New York City.
Ardsley Country Club is a vibrant community of young families drawn to exceptional golf, fine dining, and top-tier sports instruction. While many members live in the Rivertowns, others come from Westchester, Manhattan, and Fairfield counties. The popular Youth Activities Program offers camps, swim teams, golf and tennis clinics, as well as educational excursions. Though the Club provides a wide range of activities, golf remains the centerpiece of the Ardsley experience.

Ardsley Country Club’s 18-hole, par-71 golf course showcases Westchester County’s natural beauty, blending flatlands with rolling hills and offering scenic views. Consistently ranked among the metro area’s top courses, it was originally designed by Willie Dunn in 1896 and later refined by Donald Ross (1917), Alister MacKenzie (1928), and Robert Trent Jones (1965). A 2005 renovation by Ken Dye enhanced both its beauty and challenge, adding three new ponds and repositioning others to impact play. With hilly lies and strategic bunkering, the course tests golfers of all skill levels.

Initially built in 1927, the Club’s 35,000-square-foot clubhouse was thoughtfully reimagined following a devastating fire in 2014. The extensive renovation has elevated the member experience, unveiling a beautifully redesigned main dining room, a sophisticated 1,300-square-foot lounge, and a grill terrace and grill room. These stunning spaces now offer some of the most expansive views of the Hudson River and the Palisades, making the Club one of Westchester County’s most sought-after destinations.
The Club is open year-round, except in February. The golf course and golf shop are open from March 15th to December 23rd.

In 2021, the Club entered a Master Plan to enhance its golf experience. Phase I, completed in the spring of 2023, resulted in a $2.2 million transformation of the course, featuring a full bunker remodel, reimagined green surrounds, and select tee box renovations. A state-of-the-art irrigation system was also installed. Looking ahead, Phase II, slated for fall 2027, will be a $6 million investment in upgrading the irrigation infrastructure, further enhancing the course.
