About the Club
Located on the western tip of New Providence Island in the Bahamas, Lyford Cay Club is one of the most exclusive and storied private clubs in the Caribbean. Founded in 1959 by Canadian businessman E. P. Taylor, the Club was envisioned as the centerpiece of a master-planned residential community. The Club is a member-owned organization that offers an unmatched blend of world-class amenities and personalized service. At its heart is a beautifully appointed clubhouse overlooking a private, three-quarter-mile white sand beach. The property also features a championship 18-hole golf course originally designed by Dick Wilson and recently renovated by Rees Jones, 12 Har-Tru tennis courts, two new padel courts, a full-service spa and salon, and three fitness studios. Accommodation at Lyford Cay Club includes 40 guest rooms and 20 private cottages, ideal for members and their guests. The Club also boasts a deep-water yacht harbor with 74 slips, making it a destination for world travelers by land or sea.

About the Position
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This strategic role is responsible for all financial planning and operations, including budgeting, accounting, audits, capital financing, and internal controls. The CFO works in close collaboration with the Board, Managing Director, and department heads to maintain the Club’s financial strength and operational excellence.

Compensation
A competitive compensation package will be offered, along with a comprehensive benefits plan.

What You Do
As CFO, you will lead all financial functions across the Club. Responsibilities include:

  • Directing budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning
  • Managing accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting
  • Coordinating with external auditors, banks, and insurance providers
  • Ensuring compliance with Bahamian labor, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Overseeing financial technology systems, including NorthStar POS
  • Delivering dashboards and financial analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Leading capital project and construction financing initiatives
  • Mentoring and managing the finance and IT teams

What You Bring
Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA or CHAE certification strongly preferred; MBA is a plus

Experience & Skills

  • At least 5 years of progressive financial leadership, ideally within the club or hospitality sector
  • International or Caribbean experience is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems such as NorthStar, Jonas, or similar platforms
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with a service-driven approach
  • Experience training department heads in budgeting and financial processes
