We currently have multiple governance consulting assignments that include documenting every element of a best practice governance model. This includes customized board manuals with committee charters, grants and limits or authority and various policies. Our process culminates with an off-site board retreat. We expect to create incredible board alignment while empowering the management team.

With both a very private city club and a hundred year old golf club, each client struggled to define its future. Our approach with both clients is to fully dignify board and member perspectives through a study of their business with comprehensive analysis of data, quantitative surveys and focus groups. Throughout each project, we leverage our expert knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Club Thinking Partners has been engaged by a Top 50 Golf Club to partner with them on thinking through restructuring their organization to meet the future needs of the Club. The project will result in leveraging the current internal talent with realigned roles and responsibilities and will yield a new position within the organization which Club Thinking Partners will lead the search on.

Club Thinking Partners was engaged to undertake a Food & Operational Review for a premier and traditional country club in the Midwest. Areas of focus were the Food, Beverage and Service areas and general Clubhouse Operations in order to specifically recommend policies, best practices, procedures and staffing realignment to improve the department’s financial performance and the overall member/guest experience. Financial performance was compared against peer clubs and national metrics. Concurrent with this review, a Dining Experience Survey was deployed to capture perceptions and insights as to the members’ views specific to dining operations.

Club Thinking Partners has been engaged by an exclusive private city club to conduct a membership marketing review. The scope of this project includes member focus groups, demographic and peer club analysis, marketing plan development and recommendations to increase the Club’s visibility on both local and national platforms to increase member acquisition and maximize retention. In addition, the Firm will lead a search for the Club’s next Membership Director.

Club Thinking Partners has ongoing management engagements with two top tier private clubs. Our role includes acting as the owner’s representative and providing management support. This includes various mid-management executive searches, member surveys and providing club leadership with industry insights on the trends, benchmarks and best practices.
