About the Club
Founded in 1916, Woodway Country Club is a terrific, best in class member-owned private club located on 184 acres in picturesque Darien, Connecticut in the heart of Fairfield County, less than an hour train ride to New York City. The Club offers members extensive, year-round services and amenities rivaling the best clubs in the country at each of its four venues: the Main Club, the Pool & Tennis Club and the Paddle Tennis facility each tangent to each other offering their own facilities. Seven miles away in Stamford Connecticut is the Woodway Beach Club, a waterfront Club onto itself. Property wide, members enjoy an incredible array of dining experiences from formal to informal, large to intimate, and a full slate of sporting and lifestyle activities including golf, tennis, paddle tennis, swimming (including diving and water polo), beach activities / water sports, and bowling.

The 50,000 square foot main clubhouse features banquet facilities for over 350 and additional dining in five other facilities with seating of over 300, extensive locker rooms, golf pro shop and four bowling lanes. At the racquets facility you will find 10 Har-Tru tennis and 5 paddle courts. Tangent to these facilities is a 10,000 square foot pool and tennis facility to support these seasonal activities along with a Day Camp facility.

Woodway Beach Club stands on Shippan Point on Long Island Sound in Stamford, Connecticut. The five-acre Beach Club features an outstanding 20,000 square foot clubhouse, picnic patios, beach, two Deco Turf hard tennis courts, aquatic activities and a full schedule of social and dining events during the summer season.

The par 71, 18-hole golf course, designed by renowned architect Willie Park Jr., measures 6,785 yards and hosts approximately 23,000 rounds including seven golf outings annually. The course is recognized as one of the best in the state of Connecticut in several rankings and has been host to many prestigious golf tournaments and events. The golf course recently underwent a $3.7 million restoration reestablishing it as one of the best in New England.

Total revenue of the Club is $15 million with $7 million from dues and $3.7 million from overall F&B. There are 639 members with a waitlist.
