Barbara McAuliffe, Senior Consultant
Barbara has spent her professional career in the golf industry and brings a passion for the business of golf and experience in club management, marketing and social media to our consulting practice.  Barbara’s career in the club industry began with National Fairways, Inc., a golf management company that was based in Connecticut with additional private, semi-private and public properties in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Florida.  Barbara served in increasing roles of responsibility including Director of Membership Services, Marketing Director, General Manager and Assistant Regional General Manager.  During her time at National Fairways, the properties Barbara worked on included: Hudson National Golf Club in Croton-on-Hudson, New York; Hidden Hills Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida; OakBridge Club at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Florida; and St. Augustine Shores in St. Augustine, Florida.

After leaving the club side of the business, Barbara joined Reed Exhibitions where she became the Event & Marketing Director for the PGA Merchandise Show and PGA Expo, trade-only events organized in partnership with The PGA of America.  During her tenure at Reed, she played a lead role in developing and managing key industry relationships and developed and implemented customized and targeted marketing programs that consistently grew attendance and improved customer satisfaction.

Barbara graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts with a B.S. degree in Sports Management. Most recently, she completed Performance Management training from Cornell University’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations.

Barbara has been with Club Thinking Partners since 2011 and is based in the Fairfield, CT office.  She is responsible for client relations and club consulting.  With a wealth of experience in managing clubs and in the golf and private club industries, Barbara’s expertise is in operational consulting, Club membership acquisition and retention.
